It depends on how good of a friend she is to you. Sometimes it is just better to not say anything at all because if she finds out that you told, the friendship will probably be over. Still, it is for reasons like that that I have a hard time getting social security myself. It's sad.

I'm not sure what you should do about your dilemma. On the one side she's a friend, a good one I assume since she told you what she's doing, and friendships mean a lot. But on the other side, what she's doing is illegal and makes a tough time for people who really should be getting it. If she's telling a decent amount of other people, maybe you should anonymously tell the authorities. Or you could tell her she needs to change or you'll alert them. Or you could just ignore it and let her be. I have no clue what I would do, but it would really bug me to know about it. P.S. I love your story style! I felt like I was sitting right in the room listening to your dilemma with you - I feel like I know you almost! Easily one of the best stories I've heard.

wow...i wish i could say i am surprised to hear this but i know this sort of thing happens all the time..could you not report her anonymously to the gov? like call it in or something to make someone look closer at her? just hate for people who actually need help to not get it because of someone like this person.
